This site has two RSS feeds to alert visitors to changes, rss.xml, that is updated immediately in concert with the News box, and rss-blog.xml, that is carries the exact same information, but is only updated when there's a new entry by Keiko in the mix. Updates to this site are also announced on a Twitter feed and on a Facebook page. (Keiko herself only has her blog. Read this fraud warning if you think otherwise.)

Comments

You can leave comments with the newest entries, but please be nice. There's only a tiny chance of Keiko visiting this site, but if she does then we want her to enjoy it, don't we?

Official news & profile

To see the News and Profile pages of KEIKO'S BLOG translated, first add the bookmarklet Translate Kitagawa Keiko site to your bookmarks or favourites. (Drag it to your bookmarks bar, or right click and choose "Bookmark This Link" or "Add to Favorites".) Now when you visit one of those special pages you can run the bookmarklet to have it translated in place.

Resources

The maintainer of this site would be lost without these:
Wikipedia - Keiko Kitagawa
ウィキペディア - 北川景子
The English and Japanese Wikipedia pages have some background info on Keiko and lists of her accomplishments.
keiko缶
The most active Japanese fansite.
Google News: 北川景子
Youtube: 北川景子
These Google News and YouTube searches list lots of eye-candy whenever there's a newsworthy event.
WWWJDIC
The wonderful free Japanese-English dictionary. I seldom need query it directly, because the tools I use most of the time have the WWWJDIC dictionary built in.
Rikaichan & Rikaikun
Extensions for Firefox and Chrome that do WWWJDIC lookups of Japanese words as you move your mouse over them. I've made a little example to show you their power.
SpaceALC
The online portal to the Eijirō database of English-Japanese translations. It contains 1.5 million entries of not just dictionary definitions, but also pages upon pages of example sentences that will tell you how a word is actually used.
Japanese Grammar Guide
This guide made me really understand how Japanese grammar works, instead of making me learn lists like a dumb automaton.
Yahoo!辞書
goo 辞書
俗語辞書
Online Japanese-to-Japanese dictionaries, because no matter how good WWWJDIC is, the Japanese know their language best.
エキサイト翻訳
OCN|翻訳サービス
Yahoo!翻訳
Google Translate
I confess, when I'm at the end of my rope, I will even stoop so low as to use automated translators. Even if all four produce total gibberish, as they usually do, they may still give me a clue on how to decode something. (On the Japanese sites you need to select the 日⇒英 or 和英 option before clicking 翻訳.)
