Filming started for a new work this morning.
This work is... of all things...
a "The Mystery will be solved after Dinner" special!

Thanks to all of you watching this program last year from autumn till the end of the year,
it could return as this special.
Thank you all very much, everyone.
That a work I was a part of is getting a continuation is a first for me,
so I'm really happy with it.

Filming started on the familiar residence set today,
and with a staff that is almost the same as with the serial drama it went just like before,
so it felt more like resuming after a somewhat longish winter vacation than doing a new work.
It being exactly one month after wrapping up the serial,
we filled each other in on our New Year's holidays and latest circumstances,
so it was a lively conversation on the set.
As usual it's a fun set where people don't stop smiling.

We celebrated the birthday of chairman Sakurai Shō-san at lunch break today.
On that occasion he declared,
"We'll make it a great work that everyone can enjoy."
I want to go create a great work together with our compelling chairman.

We'll naturally be filming at the Hōshō family residence for this special,
but we also plan to go on location in Okinawa.
The locations, the case, the solution to the mystery, everything will return scaled up.
Furthermore, we'll also show you a more powerful Kageyama, Kazamatsuri, and Reiko,
so please look forward to it!

By the way, it's Reiko in the picture.
They're giving me gorgeously cute clothes, hair, and make-up this year too.
When I walked in 14 cm heels again after a month, I splendidly twisted my ankle first thing
in the morning. I'd like to get used to wearing heels again quickly. (笑)

Okay everyone, welcome!
That's how Kageyama, his lady, and inspector Kazamatsuri
have returned to doing a special drama.
And in addition to that, on Okinawa!
Naturally it includes Kunitachi and the Hōshō residence too!
And besides that...... there will be further surprises.

That filming restarted merely a month after the serial drama ended
is a miraculous development,
for which the cast and staff are letting go of New Year's,
and "don't worry be happy" put their backs into it again!

We went right back to sharp remarks in the Hōshō dining room at the start of filming.
And therefore right back to the long lines.
Sorry!!!

Sakurai-san and Kitagawa-san,
who were saying that they were gradually getting a handle on their roles again,
were already in perfect form as Kageyama and Reiko for anyone there watching them.

We held a surprise birthday celebration
for Sakurai-san at lunch break.
The team Mystery-D chorus sang to him live!
He felt a little embarrassed by it.

The photo shows an Okinawa themed cake, and an original awamori for this program named,
"Mystery solution Shisa (in the sense that it solves mysteries)".

Well then, the anticipated broadcast of this special is on March 27.
It begins on 9 pm Tuesday evening, of course.

As a matter of fact,

"The Mystery will be solved after Dinner"

is returning with a special on
3/27 (Tue) 9 pm!!

I'm thrilled that I can be back on that fun set again♪♪

And the main setting this time will be Okinawa of all places!

I will again do my best to make it a great work to look forward to

The expression nankurunaisa, for which the dictionary offers, "don't worry be happy", is from the Okanawa dialect, and it basically means that instead of fretting about things you can do nothing about, you should simply do your best and leave the rest to the gods. Maybe "shit happens" would also work as a translation.

We filmed for the special yesterday in a fierce cold wind
This morning we were on location at the pier.

The love romance & hard-boiled Kageyama that will unfold there are not to be missed
The lightly dressed Kitagawa-san, who was acting on will-power, wore clothes different from usual that deserve attention too

And in the afternoon we had the start of filming for
Shiina Kippei-san as Inspector Kazamatsuri,
Nakamura Yasuhi-san as Forensics specialist Yamashige,
Okamoto Anri-san as Policewoman Munemori,
and Tanaka Konatsu-san as Policewoman Ejiri

The police team meeting up again after quite a while.
During the breaks in filming they were also huddling around the heater harmoniously.

Kippei-san is completely Okinawa-bound, so he was kept out of the filming.
To being told,
"Sorry for making you wait",
he answered,
"Don't worry be happy"

The special will carry a varied content
